Gillian Northmore is an award-winning artist residing and working in Cambridge, UK. Her journey into the world of painting is relatively recent, having embarked upon it in 2017. Despite being self-taught, her dedication and passion for the craft are evident in her evolving style, particularly in her use of oils. Gillian excels in bringing the essence of nature indoors, capturing the delicate interplay of natural light filtering through trees, the shimmering reflections on water, and the subtle glimmers in an animal’s eye.
Beyond her work with oils, Gillian has honed her skills in pencil, chalk, and charcoal through various online courses. This dedication to continuous improvement has significantly enhanced the quality and depth of her drawings over the years.
Gillian is a versatile artist who enjoys experimenting with different forms of art. Recently, she has delved into abstract painting and is actively developing her portrait techniques. This exploration and willingness to embrace new challenges are testaments to her artistic curiosity and commitment to growth.
