Artist Biography

My name is Gillian Northmore and i am an award winning artist living and working in Cambridge, UK.

My style of painting is still at an early stage having only started in oils in 2017, am self-taught and love to bring nature indoors by painting scenery with the natural light filtered through trees and water and reflections of light seen in an animals’ eye. My work in pencil, chalk and charcoal has improved over the years having taught myself from online course

I enjoy trying different forms of artwork recently I have tried abstract painting and am currently trying to develop my portrait techniques.

I am member of the Cambridge Open Studios and Visual Arts Association and have been published in Art4Any catalogue in April 2021 and July 23.

I have also exhibited at an art exhibition in Rome
